Banana Taffy By Team Elite Genetics - In Depth Strain Review - Westcoastcanna

Updated: Apr 29, 2023

First impressions:

Banana Taffy is a 70/30% Indica Dominant Hybrid Strain bred by crossing Watermelon Zkittles and Banana AKA Yellow Melon. The testing and batch info is shown below. Our jar came filled with one really large nug (2.7g+, pictured) and 3 small nugs to round out the eighth. Nugs are a really pretty olive green with the signature TEG fluffy, hairy and triched out look - really visually appealing.

Package Date: 09/28/2022

Total THC: 34.42%

Total Terpenes: 1.74%

Dominant Terpenes: Limonene, Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Humelene, and Linalool

Rating: 8.9/10

Smell/Taste:

Sweet ripe bananas and caramelized sugar are the first smells that come to mind when opening this jar - almost like a banana bread or as TEG puts it: banana taffy. Some other background scents, almost like a cream, as well as a super light spice are also present. The taste matches up well, with a sweet, ripe banana aftertaste that is super unique and funky. Smoke is a touch heavy.

Rating: 8.7/10

High:

This one doesn't have the immediate head rush, but rather settles in over the mind and body over the first 30 seconds, then slower over the following 5 mins or so. Heavy and cerebral, this one definitely slows down the mind and makes the eyes heavy, but not to the point of driving you into the couch or bed. Calming and nerve-quashing, this one is great for calming down for bed or watching a comedy. Medium-long duration

Rating: 8.9/10

Overall: 8.8/10
